We should all be indebted to ENGAGE for championing the defence against the Islamist/Left obsession with a boycott against Israel. The entry in the ENGAGE Forum is a historic place-holder in the defence of Jews against Antisemitism http://www.engageonline.org.uk/blog/article.php?id=1906.

It references a legal opinion sought by various Jewish Groups in the UK who then wrote to UCU pointing-out that their second attempt to even hold a vote on a boycott, as written on the boycott proposal, would seem to open the UCU to legal challenges on Racial Discrimination and breaches of the UICU's own rules and constitution.

This opinion leaves no doubt that certain criticism of Israel can easily become Antisemitic. It reminds people that under UK law Jews are treated as an ethic and racial group and so come under the umbrella of Racial Discrimination.
